EUGENE, Ore. Cheap Steelers Jerseys Authentic . -- Trailing Michigan State 27-18 in the third quarter and facing a third-and-10, Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota found himself confronting a decision while on the run: Either pitch the ball to freshman Royce Freeman, or try a keeper. Mariota, who is as adept with his feet as he is with his arm, decided on the flip to Freeman for the first down, and the No. 3 Ducks would go on to score the first of four unanswered touchdowns for a 46-27 victory Saturday night over the No. 7 Spartans. Afterward, many of the Ducks -- and even the Spartans -- pointed to that play as the pivotal moment of the game, which was billed as the premier nonconference matchup of the season. "I was looking for him to run it," said a surprised Freeman, who had a pair of rushing touchdowns in the victory. "I was going to block for him." Mariota finished with 318 yards passing and three touchdowns, solidifying his position as an early Heisman favourite. He now has 69 touchdown passes for his career, an Oregon record. Redshirt freshman Devon Allen had three catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns for the Ducks. The loss snapped an 11-game winning streak for the defending Big Ten- and Rose Bowl-champion Spartans, who went 13-1 last season. Connor Cook threw for 343 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. "I just tried to keep a calm mindset. I tried not to get caught up in the game, caught up in the moment at all," Cook said. "They just made more plays than us. We had some opportunities on offence and I needed to grasp them and I didnt." The Spartans had the second-ranked defence in the nation last year, allowing opponents an average of just over 252 yards per game. But the high-flying Oregon offence -- combined with temperatures approaching 100 degrees -- appeared to wear on Michigan State as the game went on. The two teams both went three-and-out on their opening series and it appeared that defences would rule the day. The Spartans reached Oregon territory midway through the quarter, but on third-and-10 on the 38, Erick Dargan intercepted Cook and ran it back 36 yards. The Ducks capped the drive when Thomas Tyner barrelled over the goal line for a 1-yard touchdown, and Oregon added the conversion for an 8-0 lead. Matt Wogans 28-yard field goal pushed the Ducks lead to 11-0. But Michigan State answered with an impressive drive topped by Jeremy Langfords 16-yard scoring dash. Mariota hit Allen with a 70-yard touchdown pass to give the Ducks an 18-7 lead with 10:12 to go in the half. Allen, the NCAAs reigning 110-meter hurdles champion, shook off strong safety RJ Williamson before sprinting in for the score. The scoring pushed Mariota past Darron Thomas (66) on Oregons all-time list. Mariota has thrown at least one touchdown in each of the 28 games hes played at Oregon. Michael Geiger kicked a 34-yard field goal and Cook added a 7-yard touchdown pass to Tony Lippett with 2:26 left before the break to pull the Spartans within a point. Michigan State took a 24-18 lead with 18 seconds to go when Josiah Price leaped to grab Cooks 7-yard TD pass into the end zone. The Ducks were hurt early in the first half when junior offensive lineman Andre Yruretagoyena was carted off the field with what appeared to be a right leg injury. Michigan State padded its lead with Geigers 42-year-old field goal, but Mariota found Allen with another touchdown pass, this time from 24 yards out, to cut the Spartans lead to 27-25. It was earlier on that series that Mariota made the momentum-changing pitch to Freeman for 17 yards. "Once I saw Royce five, 10 yards down the field, I just thought he could get there faster than I could," Mariota said. Even Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio pointed to the play as the moment the game shifted. "We had to stop the momentum and we had him dead to right and he got out. We had him. I even said, Hes sacked." Dantonio said. "But again, you have to credit him, thats why hes the player he is." On the next series, Oregon regained the lead on Mariotas 37-yard scoring pass to Keanon Lowe before Freemans 38-yard TD run. With the Spartans threatening on Oregons 31 midway through the fourth quarter, Ifo Ekpre-Olomu intercepted a pass intended for receiver AJ Troup. Freeman added a 14-yard touchdown run for the final margin. The Spartans 11-game winning streak included a 34-24 victory over Ohio State in the Big Ten championship and a 24-20 victory over Stanford in the Rose Bowl. The Ducks were the highest-ranked nonconference opponent the Spartans had faced since they played top-ranked Nebraska in 1996. Cheap Pittsburgh Steelers Jerseys .Pete Morelli said the back judge threw a flag on Cowboys linebacker Anthony Hitchens on a pass to Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew in Dallas 24-20 wild-card win Sunday. But the head linesman said there wasnt enough contact and that Hitchens was face-guarding, which isnt a penalty in the NFL. Cheap Sammie Coates Jersey . The defending champions’ roller coaster season included trading offensive star Percy Harvin in the midst of the team’s 3-3 start. That move that reportedly irked several Seahawk players, but one management saw necessary to save the team’s chemistry. http://www.cheapsteelersjerseyselite.com/ . The stress, the waiting, the whispers about whether he doped during his stellar cycling career, all of it ended when - after nearly two years - federal prosecutors closed an investigation of him last week without bringing any charges. When Brett Lawrie arrived with the Blue Jays in 2011, he looked even at age 21 to have the raw potential to become one of the franchises greats. In a 43-game stint, he batted .293 with nine homers and 25 runs batted in with a .953 OPS. He played spectacular defence and seemed to have a skill for pumping up his teammates and electrifying the crowd. You had to ask yourself how Milwaukee let him get away in that trade for right hander Shaun Marcum? But in the last two seasons, Lawrie has gone through some growing pains. Hes had injury problems, some awkward in-game moments, such as throwing a batting helmat in the direction of an ump, and the berating of a teammate for a perceived miscue on the bases. (Lawrie was wrong). On top of that his production has dropped off, to the point where some have wondered if that blaze of glory in his first stint with the club was a fluke or a flash in the pan. The thing to remember is, Brett Lawrie is only 24. Skipper John Gibbons suggested this week that Bretts peak performance years could still be a couple of seasons away. If you go by a couple of third basemen from the Blue Jays past, Gibbons may well be right. Kelly Gruber spent nine years with the Jays, hitting .259 with 114 homers, 439 runs batted in and 80 stolen bases. He was stolen away from Cleveland in the Rule 5 draft and spent his first couple of years as a Jack-of-all-trades utility man before becoming the primary third baseman in 1987. At age 24 for the Jays he hit just .196 with five homers and 15 runs batted in. It took until 1990 for him to have a star impact season. At 28 years old, he hit .274 with 31 homers and 118 RBIs. Gruber was still the starting third sacker for a division title run in 1991 and for the Jays first World Series victory over Atlanta in 1992. Ed Sprague offers up another example of a player who peaked in his late 20s. Sprague was the Jays regular third baseman for six seasons. After Gruber was moved to the Angels, Sprague took over at third in 1993 at 26. He hit .260 with 12 homers and 73 runs batted in and was a key member of the Jays second straight World Series victory over the Phillies in 1993. Still he didnt have his first really big year until he was 29, when he broke through with 36 homers and drove in 101 runs. Yes there are exceptions to the rule...guys who hit the ground running and continue to thrive practically from the moment they arrive in the Majors. Two of those kind of guys enjoyed brief stints with the Blue JJays in the last decade. Wholesale Steelers Jerseys. Troy Glaus came over from the Diamondbacks along with Sergio Santos in a deal for right hander Miguel Batista and infielder Orlando Hudson. Glaus played third for the Jays for two seasons in 2006 and 2007. As a 22-year-old with his original club the Angels, he hit .240 with 29 homers and 79 runs batted in. At 24 with the Halos, he upped his power numbers to 41 homers and 108 runs batted in. Glaus had a good year with the Jays in 06, but his numbers fell off a bit in 2007, and he ultimately asked for a trade since the artificial turf at Rogers Centre was playing havoc with his back. The Jays dealt Glaus to St. Louis for another standout third baseman in Scott Rolen, who had had a falling out with Cards manager Tony LaRussa. As a 22-year-old with his original club the Phillies, Rolen - arguably the best defensive third baseman the Jays have ever had - hit .283 with 21 homers and 92 runs batted in. Rolen only spent one season with the Jays, at age 33 before asking for a trade to the U.S. midwest to be closer to his family. He wound up going to Cincinnati in a deal that saw the Jays land two pitchers, Zach Stewart and Josh Roenicke and a guy named Edwin Encarnacion. The point of all this is, Lawrie is still young enough to take off the way Rolen and Glaus did, or he may take a little longer like Gruber or Sprague. If you want to pipe dream a bit, consider Royals legendary Hall of Famer George Brett. At 24 he batted .312 with 22 homers and 88 runs batted in. The bottom line on Lawrie is, with the defence he plays, and the infectious hustle he plays with, the Blue Jays will be very patient with him indeed. The real Brett Lawrie could even emerge this season, if only he can stay healthy. Spring Roots The Blue Jays may not be leaving their spring training home in Dunedin after all. About a year ago a story first surfaced that the Houston Astros were talking with the Jays about teaming up with them on a new two-team state of the art facility in Palm Beach County on Floridas east coast. The Astros lease with Kissimmee, Florida runs through 2016, so the target date for moving obviously would have been 2017. However a local group of citizens didnt want any part of having this type of complex in their area and threatened a lawsuit. So now the Astros are looking elsewhere in Palm Beach County and are now talking with the Washington Nationals about being their potential partners.
